Sometimes our paths cross with a client whose field of development is important not only for his growth, but also for the public life of the country.

Essence and intention

Such a client is the scientific and technological complex Sofia Tech Park. The mission of this unique organization for Bulgaria is to promote economic growth, the development of innovations, scientific discoveries and their application in our everyday lives. All activities that take place on the territory of Sofia Tech Park are aimed at creating a calm, inspiring and productive environment that serves as a field for the exchange of information and the implementation of new ideas. STP's activity is to connect entrepreneurship with science, investors and institutions, and to support and cooperate in finding the most direct path to the implementation of projects and ideas for innovative and competitive goods or services.

The role of Sofia Tech Park in the ecosystem

Since its establishment in 2015, STP has aimed to become a leading institution for innovation and technology in the country and the Balkan region. The main focus areas of the park are ICT, life sciences, green energies, education, entrepreneurship and others. The infrastructure of STP unites 11 high-tech laboratories, a business incubator with startup initiatives, high-tech companies and supporting organizations, shared workspaces, a forum and halls for events and meetings, an interactive science and technology center and a sports complex. The park's incubation program is aimed at supporting entrepreneurship and innovation through training, mentoring, consulting and other support, based on the network of contacts and partnerships of STP with organizations, institutions, funds, businesses and other members of the innovation ecosystem in our country. 

Sofia Tech Park provides successful collaboration between researchers, technology leaders and innovative startups. 

A special emphasis in the park's activities is placed on the 11 laboratories, which are managed by an independent consortium - the Association for Research and Development, which is formed by the scientific institutions: Sofia University "St. Kliment Ohridski", Technical University - Sofia, Joint Genomic Center. The goal of this extremely important unit of STP is collective and independent research and development of scientific projects, as well as the provision of laboratory services for business. The laboratory complex includes: biopharmaceutical laboratory complex - BioPharma: laboratory for extraction of natural products and synthesis of bioactive compounds, In Vitro laboratory for assessment of biological activity and toxicity, laboratory for pharmaceutical development and characterization with In Silico design, bioinformatics laboratory - BioInfoTech. STP also puts a lot of effort into the development of the Cybersecurity Laboratory, the Artificial Intelligence and CAD Systems Laboratory, the 3D Creativity and Rapid Prototyping of New Products Laboratory, MINOLab, the High Performance Computing Laboratory, and the Intelligent and Communication Infrastructures Laboratory.

Sofia Tech Park makes targeted and systematic efforts to maintain and develop the local ecosystem of the park, which aims for innovators and companies to achieve fruitful and active interaction with the scientific and research potential of the laboratory units for the purpose of successful scientific and technological transfer and the creation of successful market services or goods.

Sofia Tech Park is located 10 minutes from the airport and the center of Sofia. The complex has a parking lot for over 500 cars and charging stations for electric vehicles, a playground, a sports center with tennis courts, outdoor sports facilities and many other opportunities and amenities that make it not just an attractive workplace, but a second home for many of the teams that develop there.

The SFC team considers it its privilege and responsibility to be involved in the process of promoting the activities of Sofia Tech Park and its participants. We believe that the activities of this impressive and large-scale project should be a bright part of the public, media and digital space at the local and international level. This positive information campaign will serve as an example, inspiration and direction for all young entrepreneurs and innovators and will contribute to establishing the country and our region as a significant center for the development of innovations and technologies.
